Understanding Power

Living From the Super-consciousness
"Understanding Power"

Last week we started a weekly series here for the first twelve weeks of 2022. I am focusing on our Twelve Powers as bestowed to us from Unity’s cofounder, Charles Fillmore.  Each week we’ll look at one of the powers.  I don’t usually present them in the traditional order.  I start at the top and work my way through the body.  Quite frankly, it’s easier to remember this way and it’s easier to connect how they work and to use them practically.  Please remember that all of our spiritual principles and teachings are only a theory until they are practiced and proven.

I will post the current week’s power first and have the previous weeks below.  That way you can see how the earlier powers connect.

Our third Power is UNDERSTANDING.  Understanding sits behind the right eye and works directly in partnership with Will (last week’s power) to bring about what our first Power, the Power of Faith has said “yes” to.  (Please read below if you need a refresher on the first two powers.

The Power of Understanding knows how to call forth what our Power of Will is demanding.  Will is the executive Power while Understanding is the executive’s assistant.  It’s kind of like a big company.  The CEO wants to take everyone to a nice restaurant.  (Faith=Yes) The President (Will) knows where they should go.  (Understanding, the executive assistant) knows who to call to get reservations.  This is how they connect. (See the first two powers below.)

Today, in taking time for conscious thinking, visualize what your Power of Faith (In the center of your brain) is saying “yes” to and then see it making contact with the Power of Will behind your left eye in order to bring about a manifestation, and then see how Understanding behind your right eye knows things you didn’t know that you knew.

Let’s continue to maintain our gratitude that we are saying “Yes” to our highest good and that we have the power within ourselves to bring it about.

Blessings, Blessings, Blessings,
Rev. Shawn
