Living From the Super-consciousness
“Power of Zeal”
Recently we started a weekly series here for the first twelve weeks of 2022. I am focusing on our Twelve Powers as given us from Unity’s cofounder, Charles Fillmore. Each week we’ll look at one of the Powers. I don’t tend to present them in the traditional order. I start at the top and work my way through the body. For me, it’s easier to remember this way, and it’s easier to connect how they work and to use them practically. Please remember that all of our spiritual principles and teachings are only a theory until they are practiced and proven.
I will post the current week’s power first and have the previous week’s below. That way you can see how the earlier powers connect.
Our fifth Power is ZEAL. It sits at the base of the neck. If you place your hand there and say the word “Zeal”, you will be able to feel the vibration. I like to say, “Zeal is my enthusiasm power and lets me be excited to be me.” It’s a very nice thing to be excited to be myself. It took me awhile to get on board with that, but once I began developing my relationship with God, it became easier and easier. You don’t have to force it, just think of certain words that trigger your passions ie: God, Love, Wisdom etc…. When I am working in alignment with my spiritual powers things work out with far greater clarity. I start with faith or my “yes” power and follow through from there. I suggest you consciously do that as well.
If you think I can help you to get greater clarity, by all means reach out. 203-855-7922 or RevMrShawn@gmail.com.
Here holding a big bag of blessings,
This first week, let’s look at the Power of FAITH. Faith sits in the middle of the brain and is our “Yes” power. Our faith is what we are saying “Yes” to. No matter what direction our faith is pointed to, it is what we are saying “Yes” to. And yes, we can say “Yes” to the negative as easily as the positive. For example, my faith can be pointed to what I fear as well as what I love. If I place my faith in fear, that is what I am saying “yes” to. It’s good to pay attention.
This week, pay attention to where you are consciously and unconsciously placing your faith. Observe your thoughts, your conversations, and your actions. We often aren’t even aware of what we have faith in.
Faith has often been used in relation to God, but that is only true if we are using God-thoughts, God-words, and God-actions. (God stuff is the permanent stuff.) What is unlike God is the temporary stuff (fear, resentment, complaints, gossip, criticism, gluttony, resistance etc…) That is all temporary because a True thought will shift it and your faith can be placed aright again.)
As I said, pay attention to where your faith is pointing? I suggest you find a compass that leads to Spirit and the Good awaiting you.
Here’s to Faith In Our Good,
Our second Power is WILL. Will sits behind the left eye and works directly with the Power of Faith. Remember, Faith is our “Yes” power so Will works to bring about whatever I have said “yes” to…even if what I am saying “yes” to isn’t in my highest interest. However, if my “Yes” is for the Good of all, then we’re really cooking with gas as my grandfather used to say. (He worked for the gas company.)
The Power of Will consciously seeks the best channels for manifesting our Faith or our “Yes.”
In taking time for conscious thinking, visualize what your Power of Faith (In the center of your brain) is saying “yes” to and then see it making contact with the Power of Will behind your left eye in order to bring about a manifestation. (Look at what I have said about Faith below.)
Let’s give thanks now that are using our Twelve Powers to consciously manifest the lives we have always dreamed of. I give thanks for the opportunity to write about them and come to a greater understanding as I do. I give thanks and I know that gratitude is our greatest healer.
Our third Power is UNDERSTANDING. Understanding sits behind the right eye and works directly in partnership with Will (last week’s power) to bring about what our first Power, the Power of Faith has said “yes” to. (Please read below if you need a refresher on the first two powers.
The Power of Understanding knows how to call forth what our Power of Will is demanding. Will is the executive Power while Understanding is the executive’s assistant. It’s kind of like a big company. The CEO wants to take everyone to a nice restaurant. (Faith=Yes) The President (Will) knows where they should go. (Understanding, the executive assistant) knows who to call to get reservations. This is how they connect. (See the first two powers below.)
Today, in taking time for conscious thinking, visualize what your Power of Faith (In the center of your brain) is saying “yes” to and then see it making contact with the Power of Will behind your left eye in order to bring about a manifestation, and then see how Understanding behind your right eye knows things you didn’t know that you knew.
Let’s continue to maintain our gratitude that we are saying “Yes” to our highest good and that we have the power within ourselves to bring it about.
Blessings, Blessings, Blessings,
Our fourth Power is IMAGINATION. Imagination lives between the eyes. It is also called “the third eye.”
I like to say, “Imagination is what can turn obstacles into opportunities.” Imagination is what allows us to see differently because Imagination uses the Present to get it’s information. My past tells me there is an obstacle here and its impossible to get past. But, because I have said “Yes” through my power of faith, I know that all good is possible. So when I look through the eye of Imagination, I see all kinds of possibilities. All of those perceived obstacles suddenly are opportunities to prove the principles I was taught when I first came to Unity. Every obstacle is a chance to pray and get True perception. Every doubt is an opportunity for overcoming.
Every, Every, Every is a chance to know we are loved,
