“Power of Elimination/Renunciation”
A few weeks ago we started a weekly series here for the first twelve weeks of 2022. I am focusing on our Twelve Powers as given us from Unity’s cofounder, Charles Fillmore. Each week we’ll look at one of the Powers. I don’t tend to present them in the traditional order. I start at the top and work my way through the body. For me, it’s easier to remember this way, and it’s easier to connect how they work and to use them practically. Please remember that all of our spiritual principles and teachings are only a theory until they are practiced and proven.
I will post the current week’s power first and have the previous week’s below. That way you can see how the earlier powers connect.
Our eleventh power is the Power of Elimination or Renunciation. For what seems like obvious reasons it is located in the bowels. The wonderful function of this power is that it’s purpose is for letting go of what we no longer need in our system in one way or another. (Thinking and physically)
We really want to practice this letting go of our old thoughts so that there is room for the new/True thoughts that we have been praying for. Untrue thoughts are error thought that have been built up out of habit and fear. Fortunately we are not being punished for our error thinking but we have been living in confusion and our mind, body, relationships, money etc… reflect any confusion that we have not renounced or eliminated from our thinking.
Today, let us exchange old error thought for new, True thoughts that are waiting for us to think.
