Living From the Super-consciousness:Glance At the Past; Don’t Stare

Hey Everybody,
Living From the Super-consciousness
“Glance At the Past; Don’t Stare”

Our past is not what defines us for who we are now.  The closest we can ever come to an honest definition of ourselves is our relationship with our Higher Power, God, Source, Principle etc…

A Course in Miracles says that “I see only my past.”  (L7)  That’s pretty accurate.  I use my past to define myself and it’s never true.  My past is about events and reactions.  I use that information to guide myself now and what I consistently fail to notice is that, while this situation feels the same, it isn’t the same.  It’s never the same.

As we keep deepening our relationship with God, we shift.  As we shift, the universe shifts, as the universe shifts, new thoughts happen and we react differently than before.  We shouldn’t limit our present by holding onto a past that doesn’t exist.

So, while we may glance at our past in order to see what it looks and feels like, don’t stare at the past as if it is a reality that still means what we thought it meant then.  Glance and let go.  If you can let go with gratitude, even better.  Just because ACIM says, “I see only my past” doesn’t mean we have to maintain that past .  That lesson is to make us aware that we are looking in the wrong direction for True information about the present.

Look steadily to the Presence within for the True thoughts to think right now.  Bless your past and embrace your present.

Let’s affirm together, “The Superconscious Mind is awake in me now!”

Glad to be with you NOW,

Rev. Shawn
