DESCRIPTION:Unity Center of Norwalk is hosting a workshop by Rev. Arlene en
titled\, “Aging is Not for The Faint of Heart”.\nEverybody is aging. H
arvard Medical School\, in its newsletter\, stated that “From the moment
of conception\, each of our cells - and\, hence\, our tissues and organs
 - begins a process of aging. Early in life\, of course\, we are still grow
ing and expanding the number of cells that we have. The cells are aging\,
but so slightly that we can't see it: we just see the body growing and dev
eloping.”\nIt goes on to say\, “At some point in life\, often in the 3
0's\, the tell-tale signs of aging begin to be apparent. They can be seen
in everything from our vital signs (like blood pressure) to our skin\, to
our bones and joints\, to our cardiovascular\, digestive\, and nervous sys
tems\, and beyond. Some aging changes begin early in life. For example\, y
our metabolism starts to gradually decline beginning at about age 20. Chan
ges in your hearing\, on the other hand\, do not usually begin until age 5
0 or later.”\nSo\, we are all aging. Usually\, as the years pass\, there
are challenges we may not have had to deal with before.\nIn this workshop
\, Arlene shares facts about aging and positive steps we can take to make
aging a time of dignity\, grace\, and wisdom instead of fear and regrets.\
nAt age 83\, Arlene shares her personal experiences and insights from many
professionals who study and address the challenges of aging. This worksho
p aims to support everyone—those facing aging themselves or caring for l
oved ones who are aging—by offering encouragement\, support\, and hope d
uring this inevitable process we all go through.\nRev. Arlene has been an
ordained Unity Minister since 2003 and has served as a senior minister at
several Unity churches. She has also spoken at churches across the United
States and Canada. At age 83\, she is currently dealing with aging. The wo
rkshop will be held on Sunday\, April 12th\, at 12:30\, and will be offere
 d on a love-offering basis. Everyone is welcome.\n \nhttps://unitycentern
