Doors open at 6:30 pm. Sign-up for those who wish to perform is from 6:30-6:55 pm. You must sign up by 6:55 to perform. Once the show starts we may not be able to accommodate additional performers. Bring music printed out in your key, and Kenneth will accompany you at the piano for your moment at the microphone. Comedians, poets, writers and musicians are all encouraged to perform!
Some snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. After the event, we will move the party to a nearby restaurant/bar for a special 2 for 1 drink offer.

Wendy Scherl: Following an 18 year hiatus from performing, Wendy returned to the cabaret stage in 2015 with her show, What Do You Do All Day (Directed by Helen Baldasarre) at Don’t Tell Mama. Since returning to the cabaret stage, she has performed in many shows including Richard Skipper Celebrates (Debut Show at The Triad), Gone Too Soon (Metropolitan Room), Cabaret Cares Benefit (Metropolitan Room), and Bobbie Horowitz’ series “It’s Just a Number.” During the summer of 2016, Wendy participated in The Metropolitan Room’s Metro Star Talent search, where she was named the first runner up from the 60 contestant field. She is currently working on a new show titled “New Scherl in Town” with Director Barry Kleinbort and Musical Director Christopher Denny.
Early in her career, Wendy performed in numerous regional theatre productions around the country, including some of her favorite productions: Hair (The official 20th Anniversary Production in Chicago), Grease (numerous roles), Annie (Grace), The Pajama Game (Babe), and Godspell. Wendy graduated from Northwestern University with a BA in Theatre.
