Doors open at 6:30 pm. Sign-up for those who wish to perform is from 6:30-6:55 pm. You must sign up by 6:55 to perform. Once the show starts we may not be able to accommodate additional performers. Bring music printed out in your key, and Kenneth will accompany you at the piano for your moment at the microphone. Comedians, poets, writers and musicians are all encouraged to perform!
Some snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. After the event, we will move the party to a nearby restaurant/bar for a special 2 for 1 drink offer.

Billy Lykken describes his style as a “queer brand of comedy and outrageous parody,” but this doesn’t begin to encompass all he does in his show Sacred Monster. The title refers to the fabulous divas from the past who have influenced him, from Judy and Liza and Barbra to Madonna and Mariah and Alicia Keys. He entered Manhattan’s Metropolitan Room on Sunday afternoon, February 5th, looking glamorous with full face make- up and decked out in glittery jacket with bare chest. This is not drag, nor is it cabaret style; it is something else all together. Lykken is simply himself —-or, at least, who he presents himself to be on stage.
