Aromatic Blending Basics

Come join our class and learn all about choosing essential oils, carriers and hydrosols to create blends that support our overall health, ease symptoms of common illnesses and support our good mental health!

During this two-hour evening class, we’ll discuss our options, have the chance to smell various essential oils, make choices for blends and create products to take home and enjoy. Topics covered will include:

  • essential oils, including lavender, peppermint, tea tree, roman chamomile, lemon
  • carriers, including jojoba wax, sweet almond oil, glycerine gel, hemp seed oil
  • make-and-take blends will include several choices: rollerball applicator, a lotion based blend, a hand sanitizer, an aromatic bath

Come ready to explore this aromatic world available to us to support our wellbeing. There will be lots of hands-on  exploration, discussion and Q&A. It’s sure to be an evening of good fun!

Patricia-Marilyn Dubé, clinical aromatherapist. A desire to raise her family naturally led Patricia to explore the world of essential oils. Patricia received her Aromatherapy, Advanced Aromatherapy and Advanced Level III Certificates from Mount Royal University, in Calgary, Canada, in 2004. Patricia continues her education and has achieved specialty certificates in multiple aromatherapy disciplines, such as Aromatic Kinesiology, Infectious Disease and Research Based Aromatherapy. Her experience and education have led her to specialize in wound care and respiratory illness, as well as lecturing and teaching several courses in the safety and use of essential oils.
