FEATURED ENTERTAINER: SUZANNE SHERIDAN

Suzanne Sheridan - Possessing a multi-talented capacity for writing great songs and covering great songs, Suzanne Sheridan has amassed a wide fan base from Australia to Canada to the USA.
Suzanne is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, professional portrait photographer and long-time resident of Westport, CT.
Her first jingle as a singer was “Join the Pepsi People" for Pepsi Cola Company, which won the coveted Clio Award. She also sang on many jingles for companies such as Hasbro Toys' "Weebles," Hardees, and Texaco.
In New York City, she played at Gerties Folk City, The Bitter End, and Reno Sweeny’s. She also wrote music for the PBS children’s show “THE ELECTRIC COMPANY.”
Along with songwriter Lee Kweller, Suzanne wrote “The Power’s in You” which won an Honorable Mention in the gospel category at the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.
Suzanne starred in a sold-out rock 'n roll concert, "SHE'S A REBEL, FEARLESSLY GOING WHERE NO WOMAN HAS GONE BEFORE," covering male-dominated rock 'n roll songs from the 50's, 60's, and 70's sung from a woman's perspective.  She revived this show in 2018 at New Haven Pride with her rock ‘n roll band, The One Night Stand Band.
She co-wrote along with her wife Rozanne Gates, the country cult hit, “90 Pound Suburban Housewife Driving in Her SUV.”
Suzanne has also written for and performed as part of the group "Exit 43," a Unitarian-gospel, three-part harmony, guitar-driven, musical powerhouse. In 2009, the group recorded its first CD, “Home at Last." Exit 43 performed at The Buttonwood Tree in 2010.
Suzanne has traveled throughout the Northeast, Canada (three times) and Australia performing her Tribute to the music of Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen. She performed a concert of the Mitchell/Cohen music at Voices Café in Westport, CT and this live recording, “Suzanne Sheridan Sings the Music of Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen,” is now available at CDBaby.com and on her website, http://www.suzannesheridanmusic.com. This concert was presented at Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven in 2014 as a benefit for the ACLU’s campaign for Marriage Equality. When Marriage Equality became the law of the land under President Obama, Suzanne and her wife had much to celebrate. The fight for marriage equality in the State of Connecticut practically began at the Unitarian Church in Westport with the support of its then associate minister, Rev. Barbara Fast.
Suzanne produced five seasons of music at the Westport Historical Society called “Coffeehouse at the Wheeler’s” which was extremely popular among folk audiences. Suzanne’s tribute concerts to Carole King, Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, and James Taylor went on to have great success in many other venues.
